It’s only been a week since Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik welcomed their precious little baby girl, and she’s already being showered with so much love and gifts. Including a special and thoughtful gift from her “Auntie” Taylor Swift.
The new mom took to her Instagram Story on Friday, Sept. 25, where she shared a sweet glimpse of her and Zayn Malik’s newborn. What’s more, Gigi’s mini me, who was laying in what appeared to be a crib lined with pastel stripes, was covered in an adorable pink satin blanket. The quilt was handmade by none other than the famous pair’s longtime friend, Taylor Swift. “Auntie @taylorswift made this!!,” Gigi lovingly wrote on the snap.
Zayn and Gigi’s baby girl was also dressed in an adorable White Versace Sweatshirt, which had the luxury designer brand’s signature logo printed on it. “From auntie @donatella_versace,” the 25 year old supermodel wrote on the photo.
Hadid also went on to share photos of several flower arrangements she’s received since welcoming her first child. Including bouquets from Eva Chen, director of fashion partnerships at Instagram, and designer Tommy Hilfiger.
Gigi, Taylor and Katy
Taylor and Gigi go way back. The pair have reportedly been friends since 2014, when the model was revealed as a member of the singer’s famous girl squad. “An amazing thing about my friendship with Taylor has been that she is a songwriter that I’ve connected to through my childhood into my adult life. Us becoming friends has given me an insight into the mind that creates those lyrics,” Gigi told Variety in an Interview years ago. The “Cardigan” singer has also collaborated with Zayn back in 2016 for their hit song, “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever.”
Gigi isn’t the only new mom and old friend getting gifts from Swift. Earlier this month, the “Folklore” Singer sent Katy Perry a hand-embroidered pink blanket for Katy and Orlando Bloom’s daughter, Daisy Dove.
“Miss ???????? adores her hand embroidered blankie from miss @taylorswift ???????????? ,” Katy wrote on Instagram, alongside a photo of the blanket that came with a note, dated May 3, from Swift. “Hope it’s one she drags around for years till it becomes an unrecognizable shred that she keeps in her pocket as a teenager ????♥️,” added Perry, who welcomed Daisy with fiancé Orlando Bloom in August.

The Model and the former One Direction member announced the birth of their baby earlier this week. Zayn shared the happy news, writing, “Our baby girl is here, healthy and beautiful????????❤️. “To try put into words how I am feeling right now would be an impossible task,” the new dad continued. “The love I feel for this tiny human is beyond my understanding. Grateful to know her, proud to call her mine, & thankful for the life we will have together x.”
A day later, the new mom shared her own celebratory post, posting a black-and-white photo of the infant’s adorable tiny hand gently wrapped around one of Malik’s fingers. “Our girl joined us earth-side this weekend and she’s already changed our world. So in love????????,” Hadid captioned the post.
According to an insider close to the couple, “Gigi is on a high and can’t believe they created an angel.” The source even said, “She’s truly so in love and has had many emotional moments while holding her baby girl.” The ‘Pillowtalk’ hitmaker is also on cloud nine, as the source revealed, “Zayn was very emotional when their baby girl was born. It was an emotional and special moment for him. He expressed that he is forever changed and would never disappoint her or Gigi. He wants to be the best father possible and is so excited.”
