Orlando Bloom cannot wait to be a father again! Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom’s daughter is arriving any day now, and the Carnival Row star is beyond “excited” about having a baby girl.
“I’m so excited to have a little daddy’s girl”
The 43-year-old actor appeared on Tuesday’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and spoke about how he and wife-to-be, Katy Perry are preparing to welcome a baby girl.
“I’ve been feeling very grateful, obviously, I have a little baby girl on the way,” he said, grinning. “I’m so excited to have a little daddy’s girl,” the Pirates of the Caribbean star told host, Jimmy Fallon. “I hope she’s going to love me as much as I love her. But that daddy’s girl thing, that love of your life feeling, I think is right around there.”
Jimmy Fallon, who himself is the dad to two daughters, 7-year-old Winnie and 5-year-old Franny, reassured him. “It’s the best thing in the world.” The late night host said, “It really is love at first sight and then just doesn’t end.”
“He’s got a couple of other brothers, but this is his first sister”
This will be Orlando’s first daughter. He has a son with his former spouse, Miranda Kerr, 9-year-old Flynn. Who is anxiously looking forward to meeting his baby sister very soon. “He’s got a couple of other brothers, but this is his first sister… He’s excited too, so exciting times.” Bloom said, referring to his ex, Miranda Kerr’s sons Hart, 2, and Myles, 10 months, with husband, Evan Spiegel, the co-founder of Snapchat.
“I was working a lot and I’ve found some real solace”
Bloom also showed off some of the complex results of the LEGO hobby he and his nine-year-old son Flynn picked up during their “hours of quarantine.” Adding that he ‘kind of found it reassuring.’
“I was working a lot and I’ve found some real solace. I think it’s a reset,” he says of quarantining amid the coronavirus pandemic. “Perhaps we all needed a chance to reflect on what’s important and what we’ve been doing. I just hope that we can keep that thinking, that thinking can continue on.”
The star also spoke with Fallon about his work with UNICEF and his movies “The Outpost” and “Retaliation,” both of which are based on true stories.

Orlando has made it no secret that he’s ready to be a dad again. “I’m really looking forward to those very late nights when I’ll be getting up and doing a bottle,” he told Good Morning America back in July 2020. “I’m looking forward to that because I love those quiet times at night when the world feels like it’s asleep and you’ve got a sleeping baby.”
Katy Perry spoke about Bloom’s level of excitement during a June interview on Mix 104.1’s Karson & Kennedy. “I think he’s really excited for a little girl,” the 35-year-old singer said. “They say that little girls are, you know, daddy’s little girl. That’s how it’s going to be. We’ll see.”
Pregnancy announcement and Gender Reveal
Katy and Orlando have been enjoying these last few weeks of her pregnancy. The couple went to the beach in Santa Barbara to have some fun in the sun before their baby’s arrival. Katy has also been spotted out running errands and shopping at 9 months pregnant.
The “Smile” singer announced she was expecting her first child with Orlando in March 2020 with her “Never Worn White” music video. In April, Katy revealed in a surprise gender reveal, that she and Orlando were having a girl by posting a photo of Orlando covered in pink icing.
