Pregnant Gigi Hadid Kisses Her ‘BabyDaddy’ Zayn Malik In Sweet New Pic

18 hours after he shared the first Instagram photo of himself in five months, Zayn Malik’s pregnant girlfriend, Gigi Hadid declared her love for the former One Direction singer in their latest couple snap. The supermodel took to Instagram on Friday to share an intimate snap of the couple smooching, captioning the post, “baby daddy ☺️”

The 25-year-old model lovingly held on to Zayn’s face as they shared a passionate kiss on the lips. This July 31 snapshot is the first time either of them have shared a couples photo since Gigi confirmed her pregnancy on April 30. Announcing that the lovebirds are expecting their first child together. The couple could only be seen from the shoulders up, so Gigi’s baby bump wasn’t on display. But her love for Zayn is pretty evident.

A Timeline of Gigi’s Pregnancy

Gigi’s pregnancy presumably happened shortly after the couple got back together following the 2019 holidays. They were photographed in New York during a joint birthday celebration for Zayn and her mom Yolanda Hadid. The model then made their reunion official on Feb. 9, 2020, by posting an Instagram story of a Polaroid on her nightstand that showed the loved-up couple together. It is assumed that at this point she was in the early stages of her pregnancy, as her due date is in September 2020.

The pair spent the COVID-19 lockdown together at Gigi’s family’s farm in Pennsylvania, and even celebrated Gigi’s 25th birthday there. However, word got out in late April that the two were expecting.

Gigi then confirmed the news during an Apr. 30 Tonight Show From Home appearance. She told host and pal Jimmy Fallon that, “Obviously, we wished we could have announced it on our own terms. But we’re very excited and happy and grateful for everyone’s well wishes and support.” On July 15, Gigi finally debuted her baby bump for the first time, at 7 months along during an Instagram live session.

“Obviously my pregnancy is not the most important thing going on in the world”

She also took the moment to address why she’s choosing not to share too many photos of her pregnancy. “I think a lot of people are confused why I’m not sharing more, but like, I’m pregnant through a pandemic. Like, obviously my pregnancy is not the most important thing going on in the world,” Hadid said, alluding to the novel coronavirus outbreak and the Black Lives Matter movement.

“That’s a reason that I’ve felt that it’s not really something that I need to share, apart from with my family and friends,” she explained. “Obviously a lot of people have lost lives due to coronavirus, that was in the beginning of quarantine and still happening. And then we moved obviously into the reemergence of the BLM movement, and I thought that our presence on social media should be used for that.”

However, the cover girl promised fans that she has been documenting the experience and will share more when she feels comfortable. “I have been taking a lot of pictures of my bump and sending it to friends and family and it’s been really cute and exciting. And I’m trying to document it well because I’ve heard a lot of people say, obviously, ‘make sure you don’t miss it,'” she said, “and I will be sharing stuff like that in the future.”

When Zayn Broke The Internet

Zayn, on the other hand, broke his silence and the internet just a few hours before Gigi uploaded their adorable selfie. The 27 year old returned after a 2 month long hiatus, and with his first selfie in 5 months.

Although his fans went crazy to see the singer, a lot of them were also worried about Zayn’s teary eyed selfie. Especially after Directioners vented their disappointment about the former member not acknowledging the band’s 10th anniversary.

The popular boy band formed on X Factor in 2010 and it’s other members Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan each posted commemorating the special milestone last Thursday. However, Zayn, who left the band in 2015 after struggling with stress, did not share anything on social media.

Looks like Zayn is happy concentrating on his baby momma and their future child for now. Sources close to the couple revealed that Hadid and Malik are “thrilled” about the baby and their next chapter together. “They’ve been through their ups and downs, but neither stopped caring about the other. They’ve jumped on the timing of having a baby and are preparing for their new lives.”
