Kelly Ripa’s Daughter Lola Consuelos Calls “Thirst Trap” Photos of Dad, Mark Consuelos, “Disgusting”

Although Kelly Ripa has no problem showing off her husband, Mark Consuelos to the world on social media, her daughter, Lola wishes she was a bit more reserved. Ripa’s 19 year old daughter, Lola Consuelos has some thoughts about what her mom puts out on social media. And she’s not afraid to tell her about it!

The Live with Kelly and Ryan host, her actor husband and their three children. Namely, daughter, Lola, 19, and sons Michael, 23, and Joaquin, 17, recently appeared in People magazine’s Inaugural family issue. Which included a video of Ripa and Lola answering a series of questions about their tight-knit relationship in a game called, “Like Mother, Like Daughter.”

“I just don’t even think you should give them the time of day”

The mother-daughter duo is so close that Lola didn’t have any problems holding back her true feelings. “Something my mom posts on social media that I would never, is the comments back to the haters,” Lola voiced in the exclusive interview clip. “But that’s why the people follow me!” her mom interjects. Ripa replies, “I understand. But I just don’t even think you should give them the time of day. I mean these people are sitting at home wishing they were you.”

“They’re usually very funny, I usually get a good chuckle out of it”

However, the 49 year old host believes that she and her haters “have a healthy relationship with each other,” and she doesn’t take their comments too seriously. “I think that it’s a give and take because, the people that I clap back to are very clever,” Ripa tells her daughter. “They’re usually very funny, I usually get a good chuckle out of it. They deserve the little pepper! They deserve it, they need it.”

But ultimately, Ripa seems to take Lola’s advice about clapping back at haters to heart. “The one thing I learned about social media from my daughter is apparently I should not clap back. But I feel like the clap back is what people want,” she says. “Irrelevant people should stay out of our lives,” her daughter quipped. To which Ripa replied, “Alright, you’re always wiser than I am.”

“I thought you were going to say I shouldn’t post thirst trap pictures of your dad”

The rising NYU sophomore also jokes about how her mom’s occasional “belfie” is “ridiculous” and how she simply ignores the “thirst trap” photos of her dad. “I thought you were going to say I shouldn’t post thirst trap pictures of your dad,” Ripa says.

“That’s disgusting,” Consuelos replies. “I block that out of my mind. I forgot that you even did that.” With a chuckle, she added,”I don’t even know if I follow you on Instagram still.” To which Kelly jokingly pointed out, “She unfollowed me! She unfollowed and blocked me.” But Lola made sure that fans knew she would never do that to her beloved mom. “I’m kidding. I would never,” she swore.

“I have an amazing example in front of my eyes of what a hardworking, amazing woman is”

Of course, Lola has a lot of love for her mom. “I admire so much about you,” the aspiring singer said, “but I really admire how you’ve raised me to be a confident and hardworking woman. And I feel like you’ve taught me the importance of growing up as a woman in this world. I have an amazing example in front of my eyes of what a hardworking, amazing woman is.”

Needless to say, Kelly is proud of her daughter, too. “The most beautiful thing about you is your heart,” she told Lola. “You are seriously the kindest person I’ve ever met. You’re good to your grandparents. You’re good to your parents. Lola is the kind of person that is kind when nobody’s looking, when ‘it doesn’t matter.’ Whether or not she’s kind to a random stranger on the street, she just cares about people enormously.”
