Kate Beckinsale is definitely proving to be one of Hollywood’s reigning clapback queens. The Underworld actress had a hilarious response ready for a hater on Instagram, who questioned her taste in men.
Earlier this week, the 46-year-old took to Instagram to share a goofy video of her and her cat, decked out in googly eyes. Kate Beckinsale has been keeping herself and her followers entertained with videos of her and her cat, Clive. “Nightclubs are closed but we have googly eyes,” she wrote. “Mostly it’s the same except, less risk of illness and no one has wee’d all over the ladies loo seat.”
Beckinsale’s clever retorts
Sadly, her comedic genius was missed on by some. Kate’s followers were more interested in her personal life than her PSA to stay indoors amid the corona virus pandemic. “Why do you keep dating guys that could be your children?” one user brashly wrote. The comment seemed to be referencing her history of romancing younger guys. Kate, 46, is currently dating 23-year-old Canadian musician Goody Grace. Kate Beckinsale previously shared a brief romance with comedian Pete Davidson, 26.
The man’s comment didn’t go unnoticed, and Kate Beckinsale had a befitting reply ready. “Every relationship I have had has been solely to annoy you.” The unnecessary and intrusive comments didn’t end there, but neither did Beckinsale’s clever retorts. When someone asked if she was married, Kate Beckinsale responded with,”to the cat, yes.” The Underworld star even went on to target followers who asked if she was bored. Someone asked if she had “too much time on her hands.’ To which the actress cleverly replied, ‘I’m rarely on other people’s Instagram with unoriginal comments,so, no’.

Kate and Goody’s budding romance has caught quite a few eyes because Goody is just 1 year older than Kate’s 21-year-old daughter, Lily Mo Sheen. The pair were first spotted together on a stroll in Brentwood.
Since then, Kate and Goody have been photographed on many PDA heavy dates around California. Kate also attempted to make the musician’s 23rd birthday as memorable as possible by throwing a socially-distanced party at her home recently. The L-bombs were dropped on Instagram, after Kate Beckinsale wished her beau a happy birthday. ‘Happy birthday I love you,’ Kate wrote, along with a heart emojis. Goody replied, ‘I love you.’
“She has been dating him since the beginning of the year. Kate enjoys his company. She finds him very mature, smart and creative. He entertains her with music, they cook and watch movies. They have fun and Kate seems happy. His age is not an issue for her. It’s just a number,” an insider source revealed.

Kate Beckinsale has made it no secret that she’s into dating younger men. Her last relationship with Saturday Night Live comedian, Pete Davidson lasted nearly 4 months before things fizzled out around May 2019. Before Pete, she was romantically linked to another 20-something comedian Matt Rife. As well as Jack Whitehall, who’s in his 30’s.
Kate spoke openly about her attraction to younger men in a magazine interview.
‘It can feel like a little bit of a political act to be a woman over 32 who’s having any fun at all. “Oh my god, I’m going to sit home and anticipate menopause while crocheting,”‘ joked the actress. ‘Unless you’re doing that, it somehow seems to be risque, which is just ridiculous to me.’
The actress was previously married to her Underworld director, Len Wiseman. They wed in 2004, separated in 2015 and finalized their divorce in 2019. Kate Beckinsale previously dated actor Michael Sheen from 1995 to 2003 and they welcomed daughter, Lily, in 1999.
