Ryan Seacrest and his on-again off-again girlfriend, Shayna Taylor have called it quits after eight years together. This is the third time that the couple has separated ways, however, this time around, things seem to be more permanent.
Seacrest’s spokesperson revealed in an official statement, “Ryan Seacrest and Shayna Taylor decided to end their romantic relationship amicably some time ago. They remain good friends, each other’s biggest supporters and will always cherish their time together as a couple.”
The 45 year old television host first started their roller coaster relationship when he met the 28 year old chef at a restaurant. However, their relationship has had its fair share of ups and downs and rumors are that it has officially run its course. And Ryan Seacrest has only added fuel to these rumors.
Has Ryan already moved on?
Ryan Seacrest has reportedly wasted no time moving on after splitting from Taylor. Ryan, who is currently on vacation in Mexico with friends, was photographed with a new woman this week. The Live With Kelly and Ryan co host was spotted holding hands with a blonde woman in Cabo San Lucas.
The American Idol host has been enjoying some downtime in Mexico with his blonde companion and other pals this past week, as he enjoys a break from his multiple gigs. The representative explained. Between Live with Kelly and Ryan, American Idol, On Air with Ryan Seacrest, and the Disney Family Singalong specials, he has been juggling 3 to 4 on-air jobs over the last few weeks. He’s in need of rest.’
The prolific host confided to his fans in early May how challenging he was finding it to juggle his hectic schedule with all the new changes. But now it looks as though Ryan Seacrest has finally managed to schedule himself that well-earned break.
How it all started
Ryan Seacrest and Shayna Taylor first met at a restaurant in LA back in 2013. Their relationship however has hit quite a few bumps, with the pair going on again off again. In fact, the relationship actually seemed to be getting serious, but they surprised fans by breaking up in February 2019. However, just a few months of being apart, they got back together and decided to give their romance another shot.
During an episode of ABC’s Live With Kelly and Ryan last month, Ryan Seacrest wished Shayna a ‘happy third anniversary.’ The host went on to explain,’It is our third time together. So we’ve gotten together, broken up, gotten together, broken up.’
Co- host Kelly teased Ryan saying that it wasn’t really an anniversary. However, Ryan was quick to respond. ‘No, it’s an eight-year run, but it’s our third run together. So we celebrate each trial.’
Kelly joked further, adding: ‘You know, third time’s a charm!’
Ryan joined in jokingly, calling his relationship a roller-coaster ride. ‘You know, when we drive by an amusement park, I always look at the roller coaster and go, ‘Look, there we are. It’s all definitely upside down loops. It’s no Thunder Mountain, it’s definitely the Mind Bender.” He added, “Listen, nothing’s perfect. You just keep trying until you get it right.”
After meeting through friends in 2013, Seacrest and Taylor personal chef, began dating. They rekindled the romance after a brief split in 2014, moving in together in May 2017. But in February 2019, they split again, reassuring fans that they’d stay friends. A source revealed, “Shayna wanted more out of the relationship. It felt like the natural next step for her. She was ready to get married, but Ryan wasn’t there yet.”
A vacation aboard a yacht in Positano, Italy, that summer raised eyebrows, and by September, they’d reconciled.
