Quirky RPG ‘Thirsty Suitors’ Coming Soon to Mobile on Netflix Games
Get ready to battle exes, cook under pressure, and skateboard down memory lane! The quirky role-playing game (RPG) “Thirsty Suitors” is coming soon to mobile devices exclusively through Netflix Games.
This unique title from Seattle-based Outerloop Games puts you in the shoes of Jala, a character navigating love, family, and self-discovery. Players will engage in turn-based battles against Jala’s exes, reminiscent of the movie “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.” The fun doesn’t stop there; “Thirsty Suitors” also throws in cooking and skateboarding mechanics for a truly diverse gameplay experience.
Developed by a minority-led indie studio, Outerloop Games is bringing “Thirsty Suitors” to mobile through its publisher, Annapurna Interactive. The game has already garnered critical acclaim, with a “Very Positive” review status on Steam and an 8 out of 10 score from IGN. IGN praised the game’s unique blend of elements, stating: “The story can feel a bit rushed at times, but cooking under the pressure of a judgmental family and reconciling with exes through exaggerated battles makes Thirsty Suitors very worthwhile.”
Mobile Gamers Rejoice!
Mobile gamers with a Netflix subscription will be able to enjoy “Thirsty Suitors” for free. This exciting addition joins Netflix’s rapidly expanding mobile games library, which now boasts over 100 titles. Recent releases in June 2024 include “Cosy Grove: Camp Spirit,” “The Case of the Golden Idol,” and “Hearts.”
Looking ahead, Netflix Games has a packed schedule for the rest of the year. Fans of reality TV can look forward to “Too Hot To Handle 3” in July, while “The Dragon Prince: Xadia” will cater to animation enthusiasts. Gamers seeking more adventure can anticipate titles like “Arranger: A Role-Puzzling Adventure” and “Chicken Run: Eggstraction” later in 2024.
With the addition of “Thirsty Suitors” and a robust lineup of upcoming titles, Netflix Games continues to solidify its position as a major player in the mobile gaming market.
