Today marks the one-year anniversary of Janhvi Kapoor’s Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl. The film is based on the life of one of India’s first female air force pilots. The drama also has Pankaj Tripathi and Angad Bedi in important roles.
Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the film, directed by Sharan Sharma, was only released on the OTT platform. And today, the lead actress has sent a lengthy letter to the film’s cast and crew. She’s also posted behind-the-scenes photos on her Instagram account.
“Nothing I ever say will do enough justice to what this journey has meant to me. I could have never even dreamt of a creative process that felt so pure and enriching, in every way. And I’m so grateful for all the people that helped make it that way, and most of all to Gunjan Mam for letting us be privy to her spirit and her rare sincerity, something that continues to guide me and shape my outlook in everything I try to do. And Sharry, for recognising and making us all feel the importance of what this story stood for. You made trusting the process feel more fruitful than daunting, and that was more valuable than any reward we as a team could have asked for #GunjanSaxena.”, she wrote remembering her exciting time spent during the direction of the film.
Angad Bedi, who played Janhvi’s brother, also posted a photo to his Instagram handle on the account of such a special occasion.

Yesterday, the ‘Dhadak’ actress was also photographed outside Sara’s home. Janhvi has now taken to Instagram to post a gorgeous photo with the birthday girl as well as a heartwarming message.
Janhvi’s next film appearance will be in ‘Dostana 2′. She is also a member of the group ‘Good Luck Jerry.’ She will star alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Anil Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar, and others in Karan Johar’s historical drama “Takht.”
Her next appearance will be in the Hindi version of the Malayalam film “Helen.” Janhvi made her major Bollywood debut with Ishaan Khatter in ‘Dhadak.’
