Ashley Tisdale Is Pregnant! Expecting First Baby With Husband Christopher French

Ashley Tisdale is going to be a mum! The High School Musical star and her husband of six years, Christopher French, just announced that they are expecting their first child.

The 35 year old actress shared the happy news with her 12.8 million followers on Instagram by debuting her baby bump in an adorable post, Thursday morning. Ashley and her hubby sported matching white outfits as Tisdale is seen cradling her growing baby bump.

Christopher also took to his Instagram to share the joyous news.

Congratulatory Messages from Celebrities

Well wishers congratulating the couple immediately flooded in. Several of the Disney actress’ celebrity friends and co-stars showered the couple with love and support on their happy news.

Ashley’s “High School Musical” co-star and BFF, Vanessa Hudgens, was quick to congratulate the couple, calling them, “Just the freaking cutest.”

“YAY!!!! Luckiest baby in town! Congratulations mama! See you later,” added Amanda Kloots.

Hilary Duff’s sister, Haylie Duff, also showed her excitement for the couple’s baby, writing, “Been waiting for this!!! ✨✨✨✨ can’t wait! Best mama & papa combo!”

Fellow actress and new mother, Emma Roberts, who also recently dropped her pregnancy announcement, commented on Tisdale’s post with Three heart eye emojis.

Glee Actress, Lea Michele, who just welcomed a beautiful baby boy with her husband, Zandy Reich, wrote, “So happy for you babe! You’re going to be the best mama! ????✨.” Other celebrities to wish the couple include, Kaley Cuoco, Bridget Mendler, Debby Ryan, among many others.

Celebrating six years together

Tisdale and French who first got engaged in 2013, wed on September 8, 2014 in a small private ceremony held in Santa Barbara, California. For the ceremony, Tisdale’s HSM co-star, Vanessa Hudgens served as one of her bridesmaids.

News of the couple expecting comes just days after they celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary on September 8. French took to Instagram to pay a sweet tribute to his wife of six years. He wrote, “Six years. There are so many moments, so many tiny fragile little moments that I can look at specifically. Amazing, beautiful bright ones and hard, cloudy difficult ones… we just keep getting closer. I really can’t imagine life without you @ashleytisdale. I love you endlessly, Happy Anniversary ✨❤️✨”

Tisdale posted her own tribute dedicated to her Hubby on the social media platform. “Wow I can’t believe we’ve been married 6 years?!! Time flies,” the actress wrote. “I remember having so much fear the minute we got together because I couldn’t believe how good you treated me. I had never been treated that way. But I let go and trusted my heart and 8 months later we were a couple of crazy kids engaged. Chris you truly have made me a better version of myself because you keep inspiring me everyday.” She continued, “Your heart is pure, you would do anything to make me happy, through the ups and downs you are my solid rock. “For me, it’s okay to not want to start a family right away”

Interestingly enough, last year, Ashley went on the record to say that she wasn’t exactly ready to start a family with Christopher quite yet. Her reasoning actually came down to the timing. “For me, it’s like, it’s okay to not want to start a family right away,” Ashley revealed at the time. “People are always asking me about that, but it’s just not the right time. And I have options out there.” Clearly, things have changed since then.

Tisdale also recently revealed, that in quarantine, spending so much time with each other in the recent months has only solidified their bond.

“He’s a really great guy,” she said. “We’re lucky because we’re very independent people, but we love spending time and hanging out together. Being in quarantine together, it’s still that easy. It’s still hanging out with your best friend,” the actress admitted.
