Congratulations are in order for Emma Roberts! The “Scream Queens” star is expecting her first child with boyfriend, Tron Legacy actor, Garrett Hedlund.
“Me…and my two favorite guys”
The 29 year old shared the news in a joyous Instagram post featuring her 35-year-old beau.
“Me…and my two favorite guys,” Roberts captioned the three photos of her and Hedlund as she lovingly cradled her baby bump. The “Nerve” actress looked angelic in a dotted white off-the-shoulder dress that reached down to her ankles. The “Mudbound” star on the other hand wore a mustard-colored cardigan with rolled up sleeves over a white V-neck T-shirt, dark jeans and dark green suede boots.
Congratulatory messages
Emma’s aunt and actress Julia Roberts commented on the post, writing, “Love you ????.” Sarah Paulson, Emma’s fellow “American Horror Story” co-star wrote, “Beauty beauty.” In addition, former “Scream Queens” co-star and new mom Lea Michele wrote, “You will be the greatest mama. I love you Em! Boy moms together.” The actress was first reported to be pregnant back in June, but Emma’s post is the first time she has officially confirmed the news.
How it all started
Roberts and Hedlund were first pictured together holding hands in New York City in March 2019. Just weeks after reports first emerged about a possible relationship when they were seen kissing on a dinner date in Los Angeles.
Since then, the two have been seen out and about both in L.A. and New York City. However, the actor couple remained private about each other on social media. Another public outing came in July 2019 when they were spotted bowling together.
Garrett, who was born and raised in rural Minnesota, is best known for starring in the Oscar-nominated Netflix film “Mudbound.” As well as the Netflix action–adventure film “Triple Frontier,” in which he starred with heavyweights. Including Ben Affleck, Oscar Isaac, Charlie Hunnam and Pedro Pascal. Garrett had previously been with Kirsten Dunst, however they broke up in 2016 after being together for more than four years.
In January, earlier this year, Roberts and the “Triple Frontier” actor were spotted hugging outside the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. With Hedlund resting against a low wall while she wrapped her arms around him. The two were also seen kissing as they hung out outside the hotel.
When Emma called off her engagement
Back in March 2019 Roberts and her frequent “American Horror Story” co-star, Evan Peters had called off their engagement for the second time after seven years together. The confirmation came just after Roberts and Hedlund were first seen together.
Sources at the time revealed that the two were taking it slow after Roberts broke off her engagement with Peters. “Emma is newly single and neither she nor Garrett are in the right head space to be in a serious relationship,” said the insider. “They’re just having fun hanging out and hooking up.”
American Horror Story Reunion
On the work front, It was recently announced that Roberts and fellow AHS alums like Paulson and Jessica Lange are reuniting for a special project. Helmed by creator Ryan Murphy. Murphy revealed via Instagram that an anthology spin-off series called “American Horror Stories” is in the works. He shared the news alongside a photo from a recent AHS virtual reunion. Participants included Roberts, Lange, Paulson, Denis O’Hare, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Adina Porter, Billie Lourd, and Dylan McDermott.
“American Horror Story cast zoom call…where we reminisced about the good times…the spin-off we’re doing called American Horror Stories (one hour contained episodes)…when we will start filming the next season of the mother ship…and other stuff I cannot print. It was so much fun and I’m glad we caught up. I miss everyone,” he captioned a photo of the group chat.
The 10th season of “American Horror Story” is currently slated to debut on the network in 2020.
