India is witnessing Janta (Public) curfew today from 7 AM to 9 PM after Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a call to avoid social distancing to eradicate the coronavirus which is spreading rapidly all over the world. “Under this Janta curfew, no one should leave their home or gather in their neighbourhoods. Only those related to essential services should go out”, said Narendra Modi while addressing to the country on Thursday. The Janta curfew was a huge success in India. Not just the ordinary people but the celebrities of B-Town also came together to support the heroes fighting against the pandemic.
Celebrities including Akshay Kumar, Hrithik Roshan, Varun Dhawan, Ranveer Singh, Karan Johar, Rohit Shetty, Kriti Sanon, Ayushmann Khurrana, Karisma Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal among others extended their support. All the stars stepped out in their balconies and expressed their gratitude towards the people risking their lives for others.
Akshay Kumar while sharing his video on Instagram wrote, “5 mins at 5 pm : With my neighbours taking a moment to appreciate those who do not have this luxury of staying at home and working tirelessly to keep us safe. Apart from this, Vicky Kaushal posted a video and wrote, “From us to all the real heroes- the medics, doctors, nurses, volunteers, police, the government and everyone who’s being responsible and staying back Home ensuring safety of themselves, their families and others… we are in it together- stronger and healthier! #gratitude #IndiaFightsCorona.”
