Netflix has surprised the fans by not taking the upcoming Netflix Original anime series Blue Period to the Netflix Jail! The episodes are going to be released weekly, which happens for the first time ever in the history of Netflix!
The upcoming Anime Blue Period is the adaption of manga Burū Piriodo by Japanese author Tsubasa Yamaguchi.
Seven Arcs is leading the animation of the series. It is directed by Katsuya Asano.
Release Date
Talking of the release date, Blue Period is schedule for an advanced debut on Netflix Japan on 25th September, 2021. It will go on to air on MBS, TBS, and a further 26 affiliate Japanese broadcast networks on October 1st, 2021.
If you think it’s then coming to Netflix worldwide, you might be mistaken because Blue Period will then release on BS Asahi on October 3rd under the Super Animeism programming block, 2021, and then on AT-X on October 7th, 2021.
Blue Period Not Sent To The Netflix Jail
Netflix worldwide (other than Japan) will only get the anime series on October 9, 2021 with new episodes every week.
It is the first time Netflix will be releasing an anime at such a frequency (weekly). Earlier, series like Beastars and The Seven Deadly Sins had a long period of time between the Japanese broadcast and the Netflix release date.
