The release date for Ozark Season 4 has been set for January 2022

Part one of Netflix’s Ozark’s fourth and final season will release in January, according to a new trailer. Ozark premiered on Netflix in 2017 and follows Marty Byrde (Jason Bateman), a proficient money launderer who relocates his family to the Ozarks in order to clean a drug cartel’s dirty money.

Since then, the Emmy and Golden Globe-winning show has developed a loyal fan base. It has proven to be one of the most popular and critically acclaimed original series on the streaming service. Many people praised the film’s tone, narrative, and Bateman, Laura Linney, and Julia Garner’s outstanding performances.

Plot of season 3

The third season of the show ended with a shocking death and a major new revelation that will push the Byrde family even closer to Omar Navarro, the brutal Navarro Cartel’s leader. The show’s return for a 14-episode fourth season, split into two parts, was previously confirmed by Netflix. Season 3 began in March 2020, so fans have been waiting for nearly a year and a half to find out what the Byrde family has in store.

The first portion of Ozark season 4 will premiere on January 21, 2022, according to a new trailer shared by the official Netflix Twitter account with the statement there’s no turning back now.” That means the first seven episodes of Season 4 will be released in just over three months.

Unfortunately, the teaser gives no indication of when the second part will be released, however, it is expected to arrive on Netflix in 2022.

Better than fans of Stranger Things

Audiences have already waited 19 months since the conclusion of Season 3, so another three months shouldn’t be too difficult. Fans of Ozark are faring fair better than fans of Stranger Things, which launched its third season in July of 2019 and presently has no known release date for its fourth season other than some time in 2022.

With the conclusion of Ozark season 3 implying that the Byrde family will have to go deeper into their life of crime before they can escape, season four is guaranteed to be packed with major revelations – and even bigger deaths.
