Ghostbusters: Afterlife Trailer: A new generation faces a supernatural threat

As Egon Spengler’s family contends with a supernatural problem in their town, a new trailer for Ghostbusters: Afterlife has been released, showing how the past and present connect in the Ghostbusters franchise. Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace, Paul Rudd, Bokeem Woodbine, Celeste O’Connor, and Logan Kim feature as the primary characters in the film.

Supernatural threat

The trailer introduces us to a new generation of ghost hunters who take on the task of saving their town while also learning about their own past. As otherworldly monsters begin to plague the town, a group of the new-age ghost-hunters band together to fight them off with tools that their grandfather had used.

The movie follows a single mother (Carrie Coon) and her two children (Finn Wolfhard and Mckenna Grace) as they move to a decaying Oklahoma home that was formerly their grandfather’s. The youngsters begin to explore after the town begins to experience regular, unexplained earthquakes, which leads them to their own past as well as terrifying monsters from that time.

The film’s trailer also features several funny moments, especially involving Rudd.

Jason Reitman, the son of Ivan Reitman, the director of the first Ghostbusters film, directed Ghostbusters: Afterlife. The film is neither a reboot nor a sequel to the original Ghostbusters film nor the 2016 reboot starring Kate McKinnon, Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, and Leslie Jones. The Indian release date for Ghostbusters: Afterlife has been set for November 19, 2021.
