Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah Producer Takes Strict Action After Babita’s Slur Controversy

Recently, actress Munmun Dutta who is best recognized for her role as Babita Ji in the longest running Indian comedy serial Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah was involved in legal trouble.

Munmum Dutta was spotted using an offensive racial and casteist word on YouTube. The video was uploaded to her Vlog channel.

The Background

The fans were enraged, they criticized Munmun for her carelessness and all of this was was followed by a formal legal complaint against the actress.

Later on, the TMKOC fame had to apologized for her words. She said that she did not know the meaning of the word. Babita Ji also said that the language barrier was a problem for her which led to such a mistake.

Producer Asit Kumarr Modi Takes Action

Now, if reports are to be believed, TMKOC producer Asit Kumarr Modi has asked all the actors to sign a notice that forbids them from using any foul language or making casteist / religious slurs that could hurt any emotion.

The cast members were shocked by this move of Asit Kumarr Modi but the producer reportedly insisted that the actors should sign the document. According to reports, the copies of the undertaking were issued to the actors on the set itself and their signatures were taken.

Will Babita Ji Continue On The Show?

Apart from this drama, there has also been heavy speculation that Munun has been sacked from TMKOC.

She continues to be missing from the series since a few weeks ago.

However, clarifying the same, producer Modi said the rumors were untrue and incorrect and that Munmun Dutta shall continue with the comedy serial.
