Stranger Things Season 4 Is David Harbour’s Favourite Season

David Harbour revealed that Stranger Things season 4 is his favorite. The actor plays the beloved character of police chief Jim Hopper on the show.

Fans last saw his character being killed at the season 3 finale. However, after the trailer was released, fans saw him being held as a prisoner in Russia. The last season of the series also saw the main group in Hawkins, Indiana went their separate ways. Since then, everyone is eager to see their future in the coming seasons.

The fourth installment of the superhit Netflix series has faced a few delays because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The production was halted back in March but was resumed in September. Fans still have no idea when the fourth installment will release but the writers have teased the new developments.

David has talked about the highly-anticipated season as the fans eagerly wait for the revelation of these new developments. The actor revealed what fans can expect from the next season of Stranger Things. He also shared that the show’s creators, The Duffer Brothers know what fans need and want.

However, he revealed that they do not want to push back a bit to add their own ideas and twists. The actor further talked about his character, Hopper as he revealed that he would be shown in a different light. This makes it his favorite season so far.

David said, “[The show’s creators, The Duffer Brothers are] very responsive to the fan response, [but also] a step ahead with the script. [You will] see a lot of your favorite characters doing the thing that you love them for … but you’ll also see them twist it and turn it into other colors and other flavors.”

“This season is my favorite because he really is going to show you some new colors”

“And one of the great things that you can see with Hopper is that he was a protector, he’s a man of justice [and] he now has become a prisoner. He’s trapped and he’s isolated. And we get to see an entirely another color of him that has been hinted at. …This season is my favorite because he really is going to show you some new colors and what he’s really made up of,” he continued.

Stranger Things has been one of Netflix’s biggest original shows and the wait has only made fans to be more involved in it. The last season of the series premiered over a year ago. Netflix had been inclining towards an early 2021 release, but that is not on the cards so far.

It is likely that the season will release during summer or fall if the production stays on track. In the meantime, there have been a lot of theories making the rounds as to what will happen to David’s character and how will he manage to escape Russian imprisonment.

The third season of the series showed Will Buyers and Eleven leaving the small Indiana town. It will be widely expansive as the creators have to tie all of these threads together. The series has always been bigger and bolder with every season. Naturally, the fourth season will have to meet the high expectations of fans, especially after the delay.
