Season 5 of ‘The Good Fight’ Teaser Reveals Release Date

Season 5 of The Good Fight has received a new teaser from Paramount+, announcing that the show will return next month. Given that its main subject, former President Donald Trump, lost the most recent American elections, the new season of The Good Fight, starring Christine Baranski as lawyer Diane Lockhart, is expected to bring back its unique social commentary in a new political sense.

A phone rings in the brief teaser, which shows an office with all furniture covered in white sheets. A hand easily removes a sheet to expose the phone underneath it after a few seconds. The phone is picked up, indicating that The Good Fight will be “picking up” in June, according to the teaser.

Robert King’s Production

The sequel to The Good Wife debuted as a direct reaction to Trump’s election in 2016. It was produced by Robert King, Michelle King, and Phil Alden Robinson. Even the protagonist Diane’s reaction to Trump’s inauguration was featured in the first episode.

Throughout its four seasons, the show tackled important topics like the alt-right, the #MeToo campaign, fake news, and even Jeffrey Epstein’s death. One would expect the show to lose its key source of inspiration after Joe Biden’s election last year, but Baranski has already told Collider that Season 5 of The Good Fight would be even crazier.

Season 5 of The Good Fight has the following synopsis

“When the firm loses two top lawyers in the fifth season, Diane is forced to doubt whether it is suitable for her to help run an African American law firm with Liz (Audra McDonald). In the meantime, Marissa (Sarah Steele) and the firm become involved with Hal Wackner (Mandy Patinkin), a regular Chicagoan who tries to open his own courtroom in the back of a copy shop.”
