Xiaomi’s subbrand Redmi is going to launch its new budget segment smartphone Redmi 9A in India. This was already launched by the company in Malaysia in June itself. The ‘A’ series is very popular in budget segment. The company has released the teaser of Redmi 9A and it will be launched in India on 2 September. Xiaomi has continuesly launched new smartphones one after the other. These also include Redmi 9 and Redmi 9 Prime. Redmi 9A comes with a waterdrop-style display notch and has a single rear camera. It will be the successor to the Redmi 8A that was launched in the Indian market in September last year.
Xiaomi launch this Smartphone through a virtual event that will begin at 12pm (noon) on September 2, as per the details shared by the Redmi India Twitter account. The company is tease this Smartphone with the tagline ‘Desh ka Smartphone’.

Redmi 9A Specifications:
Redmi 9A has a 6.53-inch HD+ (720x,1,600 pixels) Dot Drop display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. The phone has powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G25 SoC processor. It will comes with 2 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage. India variant could have 4GB RAM as the standard. The storage of this Smartphone can also increased with the help of MicroSD card. For powerbackup, it will get a large 5000mAh battery with 10W fast charging support and comes with a Micro-USB port. It runs on Android 10 based on MIUI 11. It also comes with a 3.5mm jack.
Redmi 9A will a single 13-megapixel rear camera sensor with an f/2.2 lens. For selfie and video calling, There is also a 5-megapixel camera sensor at the front, with an f/2.2 lens.
Redmi 9A price in India (expected)
Redmi 9A price in India is yet to revealed. This Smartphone has already launched in Malaysia. The price of 2GB RAM + 32GB storage variant is MYR 359 (roughly Rs. 6,400). According to leaks, it will come in India market in 4GB + 64GB and 4GB + 128GB options. However, there is no information about the price of this models. The phone would come in Nature Green, Sea Blue, and Midnight Black colour options.
Recently, Redmi launched the Redmi 9 smartphone in India. The smartphone has launched in two storage options. The price of 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage is Rs 8,999. The other variant offers 4GB+128GB storage is available for purchase at Rs 9,999.
