Mandy Moore Talks Getting Pregnant While Having Endometriosis

Mandy Moore opened up about her pregnancy and how she got pregnant while having endometriosis. The actress shared she was very hesitant to believe she was pregnant because of this issue she had.

She said she was holding her breath until 12 weeks. The This Is Us alum shared, “Because of this issue with my uterus, I was very hesitant to believe it and put any stock in it. I sort of was holding my breath until 12 weeks.”

The actress is expecting her first child who will be a boy with her husband, Taylor Goldsmith. She posed for Romper as she wore a string of plush ensembles cradling her baby bump. Her outfits included an off-the-shoulder white smock and a royal purple shimmering maternity gown.

Mandy found out about her pregnancy while she had her fertility struggle. This included her ovulation tests and all that stuff according to her. she was told by a fertility special that she might have endometriosis. She was prepared to address the issue and have surgery to fix her uterus.

The actress shared, “I was fully prepared to go have surgery and fix my uterus and hopefully get rid of the endometriosis, if it was there.” She explained it was nice to have a plan and know this is why she hasn’t been pregnant yet after trying to conceive for a while.

The singer went to a fertility specialist before her planned operation and was told that she was ovulating. She was also told it was unlikely that she could get pregnant because of her uterine problems. The This Is Us alum said, “So I was like, all right, whatever. And lo and behold…,” she wound up becoming pregnant completely by surprise.

“I wish I had known before. It would have been a game-changer”

She said that she understands why doctors tell people that they should keep trying for a year and if nothing happens, you can sort of investigate. The actress shared how it would have been a game-changer if she had that information before. She said, “But I was like, man, I wish I had known before. It would have been a game-changer had I had that information.”

Mandy announced the news of her pregnancy back in September with an Instagram post of her and her husband caressing her baby bump. She wrote, “Baby Boy Goldsmith coming early 2021”. The actress used to be married to Ryan Adams from 2006 to 2016.

Mandy had opened up about the number of new challenges that she has been facing unexpectedly in her third trimester. The actress is pregnant with her first child with husband, Taylor Goldsmith.

She took to her social media handle as she sought guidance with difficulties she had not experienced before during her pregnancy. The This Is Us alum asked her third-trimester pregnant friends about suddenly being nauseous, exhausted, and weepy.

Mandy wrote, “What the heck? I feel like everything just turned on a dime.” The actress shared a follow-up post thanking all the other moms who responded to her when she was feeling all these things. She shared it is a new day and she definitely feels less ‘off’. The actress told her followers she is going with the flow and expecting to fell all of it again.

The singer further added, “Hormones are no joke.” She also posted another video as she assured her fans that she is okay and grateful. The actress added that it is her wild and crazy hormones as she shared that she is crying for no reason.

“Me And Mandy Gonna Have A Little Baby Boy!”

Mandy added, “I managed to get out of bed and go on a nice long walk today, and I’m feeling good. I hope you all are feeling good.” The actress had announced the news of her pregnancy with a black-and-white picture of her and Taylor’s hand resting on her stomach.

Both Mandy and Taylor took to their respective social media accounts sharing a beautiful set of black-and-white photos featuring the couple beaming, as they lovingly cradle Moore’s baby bump.

Taylor shared a similar announcement on his own Instagram account. Their newest addition will be both Mandy and Taylor’s first child. Moore’s surprise pregnancy reveal was met with a lot of excitement and love from her “This Is Us” family and fans. Susan Kelechi Watson commented, “Baby’s comingggggg” with several heart emojis, while the official account for the show wrote, “Congratulations, queen!”

Goldsmith, who is the lead vocalist and guitarist for the band Dawes, took to his band’s Instagram account to share the happy news in his own creative way. With an adorable song about his future baby boy! Captioning the little poem, “Big News,” the singer croons the lyrics. “I’ve been thinking bout the kid books that I really enjoy; all the little outfits and my favorite toys,” he sings while playing the piano. “Me and Mandy gonna have a little baby boy!”

Mandy & Taylor’s Backyard Wedding

Moore and her Musician hubby, who tied the knot in November 2018; got engaged in September 2017 after two years of dating. The couple got married in an intimate ceremony; that took place in the backyard of the couple’s Los Angeles home at sundown in front of family and close friends.

On their first wedding anniversary, Moore wrote a gushing tribute to her beau. “A year ago I married my favorite person in the world; and I still pinch myself over whatever magic brought us into each other’s lives.”

She further added, “You continue to set the bar high for the rest of the world (as a partner, brother; son, bandmate, friend, etc.) and I am the luckiest for knowing, loving, and being loved by you. Happy Anniversary, @taylordawesgoldsmith. Can’t wait for all the years to come….”

The couple had tied the knot back in 2018 in a private and intimate ceremony in their backyard.
