Loki Described By Marvel Studios Head As Intriguingly Different
Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige revealed that Loki is an intriguingly different Disney+ series. Tom Hiddleston’s iconic character seemed to have no future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe after the effects of Avengers: Infinity War.
However, his return in Avengers: Endgame hence changing the future, led the way for a whole new take for the fan-favorite character. A version of Loki from 2012 escaped from the Avengers using the Tesseract resulting in the Time Variance Authority coming after him to help repair the broken timeline.
Loki will be the third MCU show to debut on Disney+ after WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Naturally, the excitement for any MCU project is high, however, with Tom’s Loki, the excitement has grown to increase with time. Some of this is because of the cast and the expected story of Loki. But the quality of Marvel’s first two Disney+ shows has raised the bar as well.
Both WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier have been wildly popular and loved by fans all over. Marvel Studios’ typical take to give each story a different style all together has helped with this popularity. Fans must also expect Loki to be quite different from the rest of the MCU series.
In a recent interview, Kevin spoke about how different their MCU shows have and will always continue to be. He shared that what made WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier different from the other Marvel programs. The chief also teased that Loki is completely different and is its own thing as well.

“I think we’ve called it a crime thriller…”
Kevin said, “[WandaVision] is probably the most overt level – black and white, old-fashioned aspect ratio – but every show that we’re working on I think is about creative swings for both Marvel Studios, the MCU, and television. So I’m very excited about what we’ve already shown on Falcon and The Winter Solider. That is a very big-scale epic action buddy series that we’re excited about. Loki, we’ve not said much about but is intriguingly different and I think we’ve called it a crime thriller, which is not something you would necessarily think of when it came to Loki.”
The recent trailer of Loki was released and fans have definitely gotten a better view of how different it will be. It teased his work with the TVA to explore different timelines he created by taking the Infinity Stone. The trailer showed the fun banter between Tom and Owen Wilson’s Mobius M. Mobius. But as per Kevin’s description, the crime thriller vibe is also depicted.
There will be more content than we can expect from Marvel in 2021 with four movies and five Disney+ shows. As per their timeline, there is a Marvel content premiering almost every week. Let us hope Loki will deliver on its promise and keep fans as excited as they were for WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
