The second wave of the Coronavirus Pandemic has hit India more than other countries. Thousands of people are becoming victims as they contract the virus every day.
Thankfully, few celebrities and influencers have lend their helping hand to India to solve the many problems they are facing this time. They are doing their bit by donating and raising funds for COVID-19 relief. Celebrities are also compiling resources where they and their fans can help India.
And joining the list of celebrities is Hrithik Roshan, who has come together with American and Hollywood stars to raise funds. The actor has reportedly helped raised an estimated USD 3.68 million. He has contributed USD 15,000 himself for the fundraiser. The fundraiser also includes stars like Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello, Will Smith, Jamie Kern Lima and others.
Jay Shetty, who has led the fundraiser revealed the stars’ contribution including Hrithik. The influencer thanked everyone who participated in this cause to help raise funds as he posted a photo on Instagram. He wrote, “My heart is filled with joy knowing that lives will be helped and saved. This is just the beginning! We have a lot of work to do.”
Hrithik also reacted to the amount that was collected as he congratulated both Jay and his wife Radhika. Meanwhile, actors like Bhumi Pednekar, Taapsee Pannu, Sonu Sood, and others are also amplifying requests and helping arrange for medical facilities.
“We are devastated by the news of the rising tragedies in India.”
