She was aware, though, that ‘he was quite popular.’ Priyanka also revealed that she ‘purposefully missed looking at’ his work because she ‘didn’t want to be tarnished’ by her memories of his previous performances.
The third season of ALTBalaji’s Broken But Beautiful premiered on May 29, and it marked Sidharth Shukla’s digital debut. Sidharth, the Bigg Boss 13 winner, plays Agastya, a heartbroken wannabe director. He was cast opposite Sonia Rathee in the film.
Priyanka Ghose remarked in an interview with Times Now, “I wanted to begin with a clean slate. It might be hard to assess an actor only on the basis of the content. It’s not just the actor; it’s also the director, the script, and everything else. I didn’t want to view any of his earlier work, and I was aware that he was well-known. When I was first approached about the project, I was told that Sidharth would be playing Agastya.”
The online series tells the narrative of Agastya and Rumi Desai, two people from different backgrounds who fall in love and are played by Sonia. Rumi is a wealthy South Bombay girl who crosses paths with Agastya while working on a play.
Vikrant Massey played Veer Shekhawat in the first two seasons, while Harleen Sethi played Sameera Joshi, his love interest.
