Britney Spears Wants “To Tell Her Story” Amid Conservatorship Battle

Britney Spears’ fans want to hear her side of the story amid the legal battles that she is having with her father.

Except for the pop star herself, everyone else has spoken about her story and there have been documentaries that are in process or have already been released. But after the shocking and highly appreciated interview of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle with Oprah Winfrey, it has reached another level.

However, it turns out that Britney would like to speak out amid all the speculation about her life. But she has no plans on following the steps of the Royals by doing a tell-all television interview. The singer has been unsuccessful so far in her attempt to permanently replace her dad, Jamie Spears, as conservator of her personal affairs. This also includes her $60 million fortune since 2008.

Some of these legal proceedings have been included in the New York Times documentary, Framing Britney Spears. The documentary premiered on February on FX on Hulu. This also included the start of a movement for her #FreeBritney Movement.

“The report about Britney considering a tell-all is greatly exaggerated and essentially giving false hope to the fans who tweeted calls for it after the Harry and Meghan interview,” an insider told Us Weekly.

The source further revealed that Britney would like to tell her story and always wanted to write a memoir but the conservatorship makes that difficult. It is also revealed that it is not her immediate goal. Another source confirmed that the popstar’s interest in having her voice heard in an alternative format which is not a TV interview.

Sources Say Britney Wants An Alternative Method To Tell Her Story

“Britney hasn’t mentioned doing an interview. She wants to speak and could do so on social media with the assistance of [boyfriend Sam Asghari] on his platforms if it got to be this emergency situation for her,” the second insider explained before adding that “she doesn’t want to be filtered.”

Jamie spears has been in charge of Britney’s conservatorship ever since her alleged public breakdown in 2008. This led to her being committed to the psychiatric ward of Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. Britney was then released after five days and the court gave her father complete control of her assets.

In February, Jamie Spears’ lawyer, Vivian Thoreen, maintained Britney never asked for her father’s removal from her conservatorship. The pop star met Asghari on the set of her Slumber Party music video in October 2016 and went Instagram official about their relationship later on.

Britney Spears hopes to get rid of any “toxic” energy after a year of “craziness”. The pop star reflected on the past year as she took to her social media handle. She wrote that she feels like God’s tears have hit all of us; with what the world has been through due to coronavirus. The singer further wrote that this new year should be a year of “cleansing” with meditation and prayer.

She wrote, “I feel like God’s tears have hit all of us with what the world has been through due to coronavirus !!! This new year should be a year of cleansing our inner selves with meditation… prayer… any kind of hobby that brings joy … and being conscious of what we put in our bodies as well !!!”

Britney continued as she wrote that this all helps to have a clear mind, body and spirit. She further adds that it offers much more clarity in our everyday life. The pop star continued as she wrote that this year she will devote herself to lots of tea and healing.
