Badminton Legend Saina Nehwal’s Biopic Starring Parineeti Chopra To Release March 26

Parineeti Chopra has been preparing and shooting a biopic of ace badminton actress Saina Nehwal for a long time.

Earlier, it was reported that the makers and the director Amole Gupte were considering releasing the film on Amazon Prime Video. However, recent reports say that its makers are looking forward to the release of theater soon.

Back To Cinema Halls

Reportedly, with the Central Government giving 100% permission to use cinema halls, producers have decided to bring the biopic film to the big screen considering it is about a sports icon that should be enjoyed in cinemas.

Reports go on to say that its makers were considering releasing the film on March 26 or April 9 and have now decided to stick to March 26.

Parineeti Chopra is an Indian actress and singer who appears in Hindi-language films. Chopra is a recipient of several accolades, including a Filmfare and National Film Award. 

Saina Nehwal is an Indian professional badminton singles player. A former world no. 1, she has won over 24 international titles, which includes eleven Superseries titles. Although she reached the world’s 2nd in the 2009, it was only in 2015 that she was able to attain the world no. 

Parineeti’s Third Release Of the Year

Producer Bhushan Kumar, who has backed Saina, is now all set to unwind his line up extending to over 20 major films through the year which begins with the release of Mumbai Saga on March 19.  Both Mumbai Saga and Saina were initially being planned to release on digital platforms but decided to take the theatrical route ultimately.

Meanwhile, for actress Parineeti Chopra, it will be a double theater release back to backher and its third release of the year. Her film Sandeep Aur Pinky Farrar with Arjun Kapoor is expected to be released on March 19 while The Girl On The Train was released on February 26 on Netflix.
