Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra starrer Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar was supposed to release in the theatres on March 20!
The lockdown owing to the outbreak of the coronavirus has hit the entertainment industry hard. While so many releases have been pushed to an indefinite time, so many shoots are stalled currently. Under such circumstances, the filmmakers are looking for alternative ways to release their films. Now it is being said that Arjun Kapoor starrer Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar might be released on an OTT platform.
When asked about the same, Arjun told Pinkvilla, “I’m not involved in the selling and buying of any of my films. My producers are more involved with that bit. That is a reality for certain films that might choose that path. I don’t see anything wrong with that.”
The actor said how the medium is not important and getting your material out there is more important right now. According to the Ishaqzaade actor there’s nothing wrong if certain films have to be released on digital.
He said, “Certain films can’t afford to come on digital because their costs are too high and India doesn’t have that subscription base. The masses are still not into consuming content digitally,” adding “But that doesn’t mean that every film will wait it out.”
