Paige Niemann, Ariana Grande‘s impersonator is receiving backlash for recreating the singer’s wedding photos. The influencer took to her social media account to share a series of pictures where she replicated Ariana’s bridal look from her wedding to Dalton Gomez.
This has pissed off Ariana’s fans as they expressed being completely unimpressed. The fans called the TikToker out for “crossing the line” by using a special and personal event. Ariana had herself called out Paige’s constant impersonation last year.
The singer expressed her disappointment by calling the impersonations “degrading”. She had taken to her social media account to share a video of Jordan Firstman impersonating a meme. In the video, the filmmaker says if someone takes a moment, a clip from a movie or TV show or something that the artist really put their all into and recreate it.
He said, “What if we, like, we took a moment, like a small clip from a movie or a TV show — something that, like, an artist really poured their soul into and it, like, it just took them years to make, and it was an uphill battle the entire time — what if we took a moment from that and we kind of, like, recontextualised it? Like, does that make sense? And we put a completely arbitrary meaning onto that thing that the artist loves so much? Kind of, like, degrading its entire value?”
Ariana posted the video and captioned it by expressing her thoughts about it. She said double this as someone’s impression of the ponytail TikTok girls who think doing Cat Valentine voice and wearing winged eyeliner, a sweatshirt is doing a good impersonation of her. The singer added, “Cause this really how it feels… ‘Degrading its entire value’ I screamed.”
Impersonator Of Ariana Says She’s Not A Fan Anymore
Paige had responded to the shade and had admitted to not being an Ariana Grande fan anymore. She said that she is used to Ariana shading her and shared that she is just here to entertain people. The TikToker added, “It’s not how I am in real life. It’s kind of why I’m not a fan of her anymore, honestly.”
Despite saying that, she recreated Ariana’s wedding photos. Fans criticized her for impersonating the singer after publicly admitting to not being her admirer. Paige shot to fame for her uncanny resemblance with Ariana. But she has been criticized for impersonating the Grammy winner time and again.
Ariana had previously described the impersonation as “bizarre”. But the singer also shared that she might be a “sweetheart” in real life. However, last year, the “Positions” creator shaded the impersonator for her consistent TikTok imitations.
Now Paige has come under fire and offended Arianators by recreating pictures from the singer’s intimate wedding. Many of them took to their social media handles to express their outrage.
