This Labor day weekend, iHeartRadio unveiled its Music Award winners on Twitter. This comes after the award’s in-person ceremony was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The iHeartRadio Music awards which honor the most-played artists and songs on iHeartRadio stations and the iHeartRadio app, were originally set to take place on March 29 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. I Cry singer, Usher was also roped in to host the Fox broadcast, but COVID-19 caused the plan to fall through. The show’s programme and schedule went back and forth on multiple occasions. On March 16, iHeart postponed the event and then on Aug. 24, it canceled the ceremony altogether. And announced it’s plan of revealing the winners over the Labor Day weekend.

Nominees and Winners

The Labor Day roll out, in which winners in 50 categories were announced one per hour, featured acceptance speeches from many of your favorite artists.

Billie Eilish and Shawn Mendes led the nominations list with seven each. Camila Cabello and Taylor Swift trailed closely behind with six each.

Billie Eilish scored big as she bagged the most number of awards, 4 in total, followed by Luke Combs and Post Malone with three each. Lizzo took home the award for Song of the Year for “Truth Hurts.” The Jonas Brothers won Best Duo/Group of the Year. While Taylor Swift scored the Album of the Year award for “Lover.”
