WWE Clash At The Castle Has Added A Major Tag Team Match

The challenge was issued and accepted on Monday night’s episode of Raw. At Clash at the Castle on September 4, live from Cardiff, Wales, Asuka, Alexa Bliss, and Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair will face Bayley, Dakota Kai, and IYO SKY. The fight was announced during Raw’s opening episode. The six women got into a fight all over the arena after agreeing to the match. The fight was later sanctioned. That’s only the latest episode in Belair and Bayley’s feud. Their rivalry first erupted in April 2021.

Belair and Bayley competed in back-to-back championship matches on pay-per-views, along with a Hell in a Cell fight. Their rivalry was set to continue at Money in the Bank 2021 in an I Quit Match. However, Bayley was forced to miss the game due to a torn ACL. In just more than a year, Belair & Bayley have been picking up where they left off. Bayley brought back from an ACL tear along with Dakota Kai and IYO SKY at SummerSlam. Belair has since found her own alliances in Asuka and Alexa Bliss.

Becky Lynch could have been a member of Belair’s team. Lynch, on the other hand, is currently out with an injury. During her title bout against Belair at SummerSlam, she continued to suffer a separated shoulder. The WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Tournament also features Kai and SKY and Asuka and Bliss. On Monday’s Raw, Kai and SKY defeated Dana Brooke and Tamina. Both teams have declared their intent to win the championship and the vacant titles.

SmackDown Women’s Championship

Liv Morgan will defend her SmackDown Women’s Championship against by the new #1 contender, Shayna Baszler, at the Castle Premium Live Event in September. Roman Reigns will also protect his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Drew McIntyre. Nevertheless, with Karrion Kross suddenly appearing in the title picture, it will be intriguing to see how things go from here. Morgan will face Shayna Baszler when she upholds her gold at the Clash at the Castle next month. Baszler managed to earn the title shot on Friday night’s SmackDown by winning a gauntlet match.

The former NXT Women’s Champion was indeed the final competitor in the fight and managed to score the decisive pinfall on Raquel Rodriguez with just a rollup. Rodriguez has been on fire. She crushed Natalya, Xia Li, Shotzi, as well as Sonya Deville before facing Baszler, the final challenge she couldn’t overcome. Deville pinned Aliyah to start the gauntlet match. Morgan sat ringside, her arm in a splint, having followed her title defence against Ronda Rousey last Saturday evening at SummerSlam.
