“With You” by Jimin of BTS Named As The “Best K-drama OST” of 2022 by Rolling Stone

The soundtrack of the 2022 South Korean television series Our Blues features the song “With You,” which was performed by South Korean artists Jimin of BTS and Ha Sung-woon. YamYam Entertainment made it available for digital download and streaming on April 24, 2022.

The song marked Jimin’s debut in the K-drama OST world. Quickly after the release, the OST became the “Serendipity” singer’s 6th song to sell over 100k units in the US. ‘With You’ is Jimin’s first official project outside of BTS. It is also the only song available on Jimin’s official solo Spotify profile. Even though the 27-year-old vocalist is yet to make his official solo debut, he has released three solo tracks under BTS’ name – “Lie” in 2016, “Serendipity” in 2017, and “Filter” in 2020, all of which have charted on South Korea’s Gaon Digital Chart. Jimin is currently the only Korean singer whose three solo singles have sold more than 500k units in the US.

Jimin Becomes The Fastest Asian Male Soloist To Hit 200M On Spotify

“With You” was the fastest Korean OST to reach 100 million streams on Spotify, and now Jimin has also become the fastest Asian male soloist to reach 200 Million streams on Spotify, achieving so with just one song on his profile on the music-streaming platform.

Therefore, we are not surprised to see Rolling Stone announcing “With You” as the best Korean OST released this year.

“Soulful songs are plentiful, but this song is an especially terrific collaboration that elevates the music and takes it to the level of becoming a classic. “With you” appears in the drama Our Blues as a desire to be close to loved ones. The plot follows the bittersweet feelings of people as they approach the end, climax, or beginning of their lives.” Rolling Stone wrote describing the song and explaining why it deserves the number one spot.

“The exquisite harmony produced by Jimin’s (BTS) incredibly sensitive tone and Ha Sung-woon’s captivating voice, together with the harmonies of the acoustic guitar and piano, culminates in an intriguing composition and instills comfort.” They added.

It was announced earlier this year that all BTS members will be making their respecting debuts as solo artists. j-hope was the first to do so. After him, Jin and RM have made their solo debuts so far. Jimin is strongly rumored to be the next member to make his solo debut, but nothing is confirmed yet.
