Ronda Rousey Admits What Would Make Her Return To The UFC

SmackDown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey has admitted what it would take for her to make a dramatic return to UFC.

The Baddest Women on the Planet became the most famous female face in UFC history during her run with the company from 2012-2016. She became the first-ever UFC Women’s Champion and was inducted into their Hall of Fame in 2018.

Since leaving MMA behind, Rousey has carved out a successful career in WWE since making in-ring debut at WrestleMania 34. Across two stints with the company, Ronda has won both the Raw and SmackDown Women’s Championships and beaten some of the biggest names in the industry and main evented WrestleMania.

Appearing on the latest episode of The Kurt Angle Show, the 35-year-old was asked if she would ever consider stepping back into the octagon. Where her initial response was a firm no, Rousey then backtracked and revealed there’s still one person she’d love to fight, the ‘Face on Women’s MMA’ Gina Carano.

No [Rousey initially said when asked if she’ll ever get back into the octagon]. Well… There’s only one person. There’s only one person I would come back for.

"I mean, I’ve said it a million times. It’s not like it’s something new but, for Gina man. Gina Carano, she’s the reason why I got into fighting, she’s the reason why I knew it was a possibility. I will always be forever grateful… and if she ever was like, ‘Ronda, I wanna fight you tomorrow at 205 pounds."

“Like whatever the hell she’d want — I’m not saying she’s 205 pounds — if she wanted to come into my backyard and do the Rocky thing or, you know, ding, ding and we just do it in the backyard, I don’t care. I will fight Gina wherever she wants and if she doesn’t want to forever, leave [that there].”

Rousey will next be in action at the Money in the Bank premium live event, which takes place on July 2nd. Where she’ll put her SmackDown Women’s Championship on the line against Natalya.
