In Colombo, Indian Boxer Urvashi Singh Wins Two WBC Championships

In a 10-round fight, boxer Urvashi Singh defeated Thailand's national champion Thanchanok Phanan to win the WBC International Super Bantamweight championship and the WBC Asia Silver belt in Colombo.

On Sunday night, Urvashi (10-3, 6 KOs) defeated Thanchanok (12-5, 6 KOs) in a unanimous decision.

After a few strategic opening rounds, Urvashi began to exert control over the fight by the fourth round with her constant body jabs and combinations.

Despite Thanchanok's best efforts, Urvashi was much more skilled, swift, and powerful with her punches.

I couldn't have imagined accomplishing any of this without my entire promotions team at DJMC Events, led by Mr. Rozairo, she said. I am now the WBC Asia Continental and International Champion.

Sarjubala Devi triumphs via stoppage in the second round. In her second professional fight, Sarjubala Devi (2-0) defeated Thai opponent Khwunchit Khunya (4-12) at flyweight via injury-forced stoppage in the second round.

The two seasoned boxers were preparing for an even contest when a close call ended with Khunya clutching her left shoulder and gasping in agony, pleading with the referee Ajay Salvi to call time on the fight.

\Sarjubala entered this match. "We both got off to a good start, and by the second round, I had warmed up and was finding my groove. I was beginning to gain ground, but boxing is a combat sport. Although I did want to win, I do feel bad for her "She spoke.
