WATCH: The first teaser trailer for Roland Emmerich’s action film, Moonfall, has been released

Lionsgate has officially released the first Moonfall teaser for Roland Emmerich’s newest action sci-fi disaster, Moonfall, after working on popular films such as Independence Day, The Day After Tomorrow, and 2012. The film, which stars Halle Berry and Patrick Wilson, will be released in theatres on February 4, 2022.

The teaser provides us a first look at Moonfall, in which an unknown force forces the moon to collide with Earth, threatening the world’s destruction with a sequence of terrible tragedies produced by the coming impact.

The fate of the planet now rests in the hands of three people, led by Berry’s Jo Fowler, who must proceed on a dangerous space mission to keep the moon from collapsing on Earth.

Moonfall was directed by Roland Emmerich from a script he co-wrote with Harald Kloser and Spenser Cohen.

The film also stars Halle Berry, Patrick Wilson (Midway, The Conjuring films), John Bradley (Game of Thrones), Michael Pea (Battle: Los Angeles), Charlie Plummer (All the Money in the World), Kelly Yu, Eme Ikwuakor (On My Block), Carolina Bartczak (X-Men: Apocalypse), and Donald Sutherland (The Hunger Games films).

Meanwhile, Berry is set to direct her first feature film, Bruised, for Netflix, in which she plays a down-and-out boxer combining a professional comeback with motherhood duties. Halle Berry, on the other hand, has been sued by Cat Zingano for the same film, as previously reported.

Cat claims Halle promised her a role in the film, but she was eventually cut from the movie. Halle Berry directs her first film, “Bruised,” which will be released on Netflix in November.
