Wasp Brutal Death Scene Removed From Dr. Strange 2, Reveals Writer

“Stephen Strange the Illuminati will see you now” is the most awaited moment for every Marvel fan in the theatre to get a glimpse of who all are a part of the Illuminati & the return of many characters.

But do you know that someone else was also included as the part of the Illuminati and it was none other than Hope? The Wasp from the Antman & the Wasp was initially a part of the script and another version of her was going to appear in the Illuminati.

But later on, that part was deleted from the script. The Illuminati consists of 6 members in total Patrick Stewart as Professor X/ Charles Xavier, Hayley Atwell as Captain Carter, Lashana Lynch as Captain Marvel, John Krasinski as Reed Richards of Fantastic Four, Anson Mount as Black Bolt of Inhuman, and Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Mordo.

The Writer of Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness revealed some interesting information about the Wasp in the audio commentary for the digital release of the movie.

The Michael Waldron spoke about how he had no idea to put together the second half of the film & he thought to “Take a swing” to put the Illuminati into action, he said” I was just trying to get through the first draft of the script desperately in August of 2022. Didn’t really have a second half of the second act and had no idea where the hell I was going. And I just thought, ‘ Well, why don’t I take a swing and drop the Illuminati in there.”

He added to his conversation that the Wasp was going to be included initially and she gets killed when Wanda claps , he says” I think originally, the Wasp was in a version of the Illuminati, and the Wasp shrunk down and flew at Wanda and Wanda just called her hands and just smushed the Wasp in the first draft.

The producer Ritchie Palmer also shared some thoughts about he didn’t exactly knew if the idea of Wanda killing the Illuminati would actually work in the film and weren’t sure if they could do it. He says,” I remember reading your first draft of the Illuminati stuff and just bring in disbelief, going, ‘She kills all the Illuminati? He had her kill all the Illuminati. We’re never going to be able to do this. Wait, can we do this? I wish we could do this.”

Marvel Cinematic Universe is a universe of infinite possibilities so even if Wasp would have shown up in the film it would be a new possibility for the audience to see.

Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is streaming on Disney+.
