Wardlow Discusses His Current AEW Championship Objectives

Wardlow now has the world at his disposal after defeating MJF at AEW Double or Nothing to become an official member of the AEW roster. As a result, he is free to pursue any goal he desires, and many would like to see him compete for the AEW World Championship. Wardlow discussed the AEW World Championship in an interview. While he conceded it was a goal, there’s something else he wanted to get settled first.

This is what people have to understand, according to Wardlow. I am totally certain, without a doubt, that I will be the AEW World Heavyweight Champion one day. That is unimportant to me. That’s money in the bank to me. I can’t focus on the AEW World Title until I finish up some unfinished business. You will not get away with disrespecting Wardlow, but there’s a gentleman in the company who has, so it’s moment for him to pay the piper.

Wardlow stated, “I want to hold every title in the company, so the TNT title just happened to be the first one that presented itself to me.” Everyone wants to be the world heavyweight champion. I would like to be world heavyweight champion, but more importantly, I want the title that has been on my mind every day. I would like the title I assume is rightly mine, and I also need to show Dan Lambert as well as Scorpio Sky some respect.

AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam

Wardlow earlier challenged Sky for the TNT Championship on March 16, after winning the title shot in the Face of the Revolution ladder match at AEW Revolution a week earlier. Sky kept the title thanks to MJF’s interference. Wardlow announced his intention to win the TNT Championship from Sky on a recent episode of AEW Dynamite, though a fight has yet to be planned as Sky recovers from an injury.

For AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam, AEW will return to Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, New York. The date for “AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam” was revealed during tonight’s AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door event. On the same day, an AEW Rampage: Grand Slam taping will take place. The event’s tickets will be available on July 22 at 10 a.m. ET. Kenny Omega and Bryan Danielson faced each other for the first time in AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam last year.

The game ended in a 30-minute tie. CM Punk vs the Powerhouse Hobbs, Christian Cage & Jurassic Express Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus vs the Adam Cole & The Young Bucks Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson, and a Lights Out Tag Team Match between Eddie Kingston & Jon Moxley and Lance Archer & Minoru Suzuki were among the matches on the AEW Rampage: Grand Slam episode.
