Sources revealed the speculations regarding McMahon’s continued involvement after the sale. Current WWE CEO Nick Khan recently went on a media tour to address the concept of such a deal.
According to Khan, McMahon has “announced to the board” that he is completely open to purchase proposals that do not involve him in the “business moving forward.” Nevertheless, Khan claimed that it is “difficult to take authority” from the WWE Chairman, who has presided over the organization for more than 40 years, noting that McMahon has placed a priority on the value of the company’s shareholders and is ready to quit if the right deal is made.
