Veena Malik Takes A Nasty Jibe At Malala Yousafzai’s Comment About Marriage

Veena Malik, whose original name is Zahida Malik has responded to the recent comments of the youngest Nobel Peace Prize Winner, Malala.

Just recently, Malala Yousafzai was seen as the front face of British Vogue Magazine and during an interview with the reputed magazine, Malala put forth her views on marriage.

Malala’s Stance On Marriage

Malala said: “ I am not sure if I will ever get married. I still don’t understand why people have to get married. If you want to have a person in your life, why do you have to sign marriage papers, why can’t it just be a partnership”

The human rights activists had no idea that her statement would bring her immense backlash from her own people. Her opinions were disregarded and considered immoral from an Islamic point of view by many.

What Did Veena Malik Say?

Veena Malik is one of the many celebrities who took to Twitter and rebutted Malala’s stance by tweaking her statement and saying ‘Nikaah karne ki kya zarurat hai jab zina ki sahoolat mawjood hai… beta aapki paidaish par laanat’ (Why is there a need to get married when fornication and adultery are an option. Shame on your existence’

Veena Malik is widely known for her bold and to the point opinions. She does not sugar coat things and when she gets enraged, you better look out!

Two years back when Malala failed to speak out about atrocities happening in Kashmir, Veena had called her out and announced to unfollow her on Twitter as well. Seems like things have still not reconciled and they are only up for bigger opinion differences.

Other Reactions

Similarly, Malala’s comments about marriage and her idea of not having to necessarily marry your lover irritated actress Mathira. She went on to share her views on Malala’s stance on her Instagram story.

Mathira was appreciated by the netizens for her statement regarding marriage and the importance of nikkah.
