Brian Austin Green’s former fiancée Vanessa Marcil has a thing or two to say about her ex and his ex, Megan Fox.
On Friday, Marcil shared a throwback photo on Instagram of herself posing with Green during her pregnancy, recounting where she was during 9/11.
“Sept 11… I was pregnant with Kassius and headed to NYC. Kass’ dad was driving me to the airport. We received a call from Nana frantically saying ‘Is Vanessa already on her plane?’ ‘Turn on the news’ New Yorkers’ lives changed forever… #nycneverforget ???? by @kymberly_marciano,” she captioned the Instagram Post.
Vanessa dated Brian in the late 1990’s after they met on “Beverly Hills, 90210.” They eventually got engaged, however, their relationship didn’t last too long and the pair ended up parting ways. Marcil and Green welcomed their son Kassius Lijah, now 18 years old, on March 30, 2002, less than a year after getting engaged. Although the reason for their split was quite unclear, Green and Marcil called it quits shortly after Kassius’ birth, in 2003.
“I was never in love with him”
In the comments section of her 9/11 post, one user made a bold assumption writing, “I think you still love Brian Austin Green.” To which the General Hospital alum responded saying she was “never” in love with him.
“I was never in love with him but I am very proud of the fact that my son loves his dad unconditionally and has chosen to forgive,” the actress explained. “I celebrate Kassius’ love for his father and remain extremely grateful that Kass was finally invited back into his father’s life. And was able to meet his youngest brother for the first time & finally start seeing his other two siblings again. 5 years apart with no explanation is devastating for children. For siblings. My son is also an incredible & protective big brother.”
In 2006, Green and his former fiance began their long bitter court battle for full custody of Kassius. Which led to Green suing Marcil in 2012 for over $200K that he allegedly ‘lent her.’ After the actor’s case was thrown out, he decided to cruelly cut off his then 11-year-old son from his life in 2013 and did not see him again for five years.

In 2018, Marcil publicly criticized Green in an Instagram post for cutting Kassius out of his life with Fox amid their custody battle.
“12 years ago I was served legal papers and then spent 8 years+ defending myself and my son in custody court. In response to his father & his stepmother trying to get full custody (that means I would have seen my son four days a month) and then asking me to pay them child support,” Marcil claimed at the time. “Kass has never met his youngest brother and is not allowed to know where his bio father, stepmother and three younger brothers live,” Marcil revealed. “Custody cases hurt the children only and the truth shall set us all free. Kass has been truly heartbroken since being cut out of his other families lives with NO explanation.” Marcil and Green eventually ended up working things out.
According to reports, the “Beverly Hills, 90210” alum recently added, “That was part of his anger towards me. And so, he fought me for so long knowing it would hurt our son & change our son forever. I did however feel sorry for him. I still do.” The actress then went on say what she thinks of her former fiancee. “He’s a very angry/sad human being who still has too much shame to take full responsibility for his actions as a father. I consciously knew that I could work through childhood traumas through him. And I have. I have great empathy towards him and other people who are still in pain from their childhoods,” said the actress.

Shortly after Green and Marcil broke up, the former began dating Fox a year later in 2003. In 2010, Green married Fox, and the pair share three sons together. Journey River, 4, Bodhi Ransom, 6, and Noah Shannon, who turns 8 later this month.
On May 18 earlier this year, on his podcast, “Context with Brian Austin Green,” the actor confirmed that he and his wife had separated after 10 years of marriage. Both Green and Fox have since moved on. Brian has since been spotted out with Courtney Stodden and Tina Louise. While, Megan recently went Instagram official with her rapper beau, Machine Gun Kelly.
During a recent Q&A series on Instagram, Marcil shared a response on her Instagram Story. This was after a fan asked about her thoughts on Brian’s former wife, Megan Fox. Marcil revealed that she admires the “Jennifer’s Body” actress. “I actually have respect for how @meganfox is finally living her life for herself & leaving her children out of her public life at this young age,” she said.
“I used to hide Kass from the public when he was young & never once spoke about our court case to Kass or publicly. Until Kass was grown & insisted I stop lying to protect,” Marcil admitted. “Megan finally living her life for herself is in itself a gift to her children,” said Vanessa who made it clear that Brian’s ex had her respect and admiration.
