What Is NFT?
NFT is a Non Fungible Tokens, they can be digital, an artwork ranging from drawings and pictures to music or videos. They are unique and non-interchangeable data units stored on a digital ledger. One needs verified and public proof of ownership by using blockchain technology.
So, if someone wants to own the NFT of a popular meme, they own the original version of the meme. Currently, there is no separate legal framework governing NFTs in India. However, since all transactions take place in cryptocurrencies, experts are divided over its legal acceptance in the country.
