Twitch Streamer Sodapoppin Slams ‘Ridiculously’ Priced NFTs

Twitch streamer Sodapoppin is one of the most popular streamers on the planet. His streams are known for being engaging, filled with enthusiasm, and being spot on.

Recently, the streamer got candid about his thoughts on the ongoing blockchain trend ‘Non-Fungible Tokens’. NFTs have been the talk of the town for months now. In layman terms, it is a digital asset that gives you the ownership of a digital art piece by registering it to your name on the blockchain. While everyone can look at the art that you own, and even screenshot it, you are the person who pays for it and gets its registered to your name on the blockchain ledger. That’s the gist of NFTs.

What Did Sodapoppin Say?

But for Sodapoppin, Non-Fungible Tokens are priced in a ‘ridiculous’ fashion and some people who promote it online have made it their entire identity.

While playing the game Dead by Daylight on his December 24 stream, Sodapoppin gave his comments on the issue. Here is what he said:

“Dude, I keep getting followed by f**king people who are verified on Twitter, and I’m like ‘Oh, who is it?,’ and I look at it, ‘NFT connoisseur, talk to me about Bitcoin!’ Like, that’s it?”

‘Makes A Lot Of Money’

However, he wasn’t entirely neglecting the fact that NFTs hold the potential to make massive money for the owners.

“I mean, I get it, it actually makes a lot of people a lot of money.”

“But, holy f**k, it’s become people’s personality at this point.”

Sodapoppin, in one way, is not wrong as well since the craze of crypto and NFTs is rising at an exponential rate. Influencers, atheltes, celebrities, and the regular public wants to get a piece of the action and everyone is jumping in on the trend
