Trish Stratus

Trish Stratus Is Scheduled To Return To WWE This Weekend

Trish Stratus, a WWE Hall of Famer, is scheduled to perform live in Canada this weekend.  On Monday, Stratus made an announcement via social media. On August 20, she will perform at the Saturday Night’s Main Event show in Kingston, Ontario, as well as the following night at the Sunday Stunner event in London, Ontario.

Stratus appeared as a host earlier this year at shows in Kitchener, Ontario, and her hometown of Toronto. On those shows, she also had scenes with Rhea Ripley and Becky Lynch. Stratus is not advertised to wrestle, but she has stated that she will be present at the events in order to maintain control.

Few identities are more well-known and celebrated in the history of women’s wrestling than Trish Stratus. She made her WWF debut in 2000 as a valet, but it didn’t take long for her to make her way between the ropes. All through the 2000s, she steadily improved in the ring, feud with the prefers of Lita & Mickie James, and became a multi-time WWE Women’s Champion, earning her a spot in the WWE Hall of Fame in 2013.

Simply put, she is a women’s wrestling legend, but unlike most who have attained such a status, she has not yet faded from view. Stratus herself announced on Twitter on August 15, 2022, that she will appear at two upcoming WWE live events. Saturday Night’s Main Event will be held on Saturday, August 20 at Leon’s Centre in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Whereas Sunday Stunner will occur at Budweiser Gardens in London, Ontario.

Women’s Royal Rumble

The dream fight between the two icons ended when Flair locked in the Figure 8 Leg Lock, forcing Stratus to tap out. Stratus decided to make her return to the company as a mystery entrant in the inaugural Women’s Royal Rumble prior to the 2019 SummerSlam match. She wouldn’t return until mid-August to begin preparing for a match with Alexa Bliss at the Evolution all-pay-per-view. After Bliss was injured, the match was changed to a tag team match. She would eventually join forces with Lita to thwart Mickie James and Alicia Fox.

Stratus had earlier paired up with Val Venis in a losing cause to Eddie Guerrero & Chyna all through Summerslam 2000. But she had previously served as the club captain of the then-Divas in a dodgeball match against Diva Search contestants at SummerSlam 2004. She is a judge on Canada’s Got Talent, which airs on Tuesday nights, but she has her own blog. Stratus is indeed active on her social media accounts.
