Taylor Swift And Her Mother Give Joint $50,000 Donation

Taylor Swift and her mother Andrea have recently donated $50,000 to support a woman by the name of Vicki Quarles who lost her husband to COVID-19 last year.

The singer submitted the joint donation to a GoFundMe page which was launched on December 22 by the woman’s friend. It was a goal of raising $50,000 and as of Tuesday, the GoFUndMe page has raised $61,268 after Taylor’s donation.

Vicki’s friend, DeQuanda recalled the day in December when the paramedics arrived at her friend’s house in the description. She revealed that day Theodis, Vicki’s husband was shifted to the hospital for breathing difficulties.

“Vicki wasn’t allowed to accompany her husband due to quarantine restrictions. Little did she know that this would be her final engagement with her [husband and] best friend,” she revealed. DeQuanda further added that she later received a call from the hospital that Theodis had given away to the virus.

She then referenced to the five daughters of Vicki: “Theodis’ transition will forever leave a void on the Quarles team. Alyssa, Anaya, Asia, Allie, and Aryah will miss him at breakfast, at their class plays, proms, recitals, graduations, college entries … and ultimately their weddings.” DeQuanda then explained her decision to launch a GoFundMe page initiative in support of Vicki and her girls.

It was for the girls and to offer financial relief and reduce the family of its burden from things associated with basic immediate needs. It is also for their continued growth, goals, and aspirations. She wrote, “I am confident that their father, Theodis Ray Quarles, will be smiling from heaven when his little teacher, doctor, CEO, nurse or entrepreneur makes her mark in the world.”
