Stranger Things Season 4 Release Date Trolls Fans On S3 Anniversary

The Stranger Things Writers’ Room’s official Twitter account informs fans with the season 4 release date. Since its premiere in 2016, the smash Netflix drama created by Matt and Ross Duffer has taken the world by storm. The supernatural series has gained great critical acclaim and a legion of devoted fans during its past three seasons, and is responsible for establishing the careers of young up-and-coming actors like Millie Bobby Brown and Finn Wolfhard.

The show is set in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana, and follows a sequence of strange events that occur as a result of secret experiments being carried out at the Hawkins National Laboratory, nominally for the US Department of Energy.

When the laboratory’s paranormal research leads in the tearing of a hole through to another realm, dubbed “the Upside Down” by the show’s young characters, its frightening residents and evil influences begin to have deadly effects on the Hawkins neighbourhood. The show, which is highly influenced by 1980s pop culture, has received high praise from Stephen King, whose work was a key influence on the show’s producers.

Given that July 4th was the second anniversary of the third season’s premiere, many fans were hoping for a hint as to when the fourth season might premiere. The Stranger Things Writers’ Room Twitter account, aware of the online discussion, chose to add fuel to the fire by tweeting, “Istg [I swear to God] if Stranger Writers tweet about S3 Day without providing us S4……..” They did, however, reassure fans that they were working as rapidly as possible to release the new season. Take a look at the original topic here:

While there is still no indication on when Season 4 will be released, Finn Wolfhard has previously suggested that it may not be until 2022. However, according to David Harbour, filming “should be done in like August,” so fans shouldn’t have to wait too long to find out when it will air. When Stranger Things season 4 is finally released, one thing is certain: it will draw massive viewership numbers for Netflix.
