Shooting Of Game Of Thrones Prequel ‘House Of Dragon’ Underway In Cornwall

The Game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragon series is believed to have started recording in Cornwall.

HBO producer confirmed this week that production is underway with tweets of pics of members of the cast reading their scripts.

Pictures of filmmakers and actors have been spotted, starring Matt Smith and Emma D’Arcy, in Holywell Bay near Newquay.

The new series has been set 300 years before the Game Of Thrones events and will cover the story of the Targaryen family.

The latest series is based on author George RR Martin’s 2018 book Fire & Blood.

It is scheduled to be released in 2022 on the HBO Max broadcast service in the US.

The network marked the beginning of production by sharing images from a socially divided table read.

They featured actors, including Considine, walking through the script while sitting at separate tables to ensure coronavirus social distancing.

Steve Toussaint and Olivia Cooke were also at the reading table.

Smith, who was best known for starring in Doctor Who and starring the late Duke of Edinburgh in The Crown, will play Prince Daemon Targaryen.

Game Of Thrones Project

Last week, film crews and medieval-style sets believed to be part of the production were spotted at St Michael’s Mount, near Penzance.

Game of Thrones was a pop culture phenomenon during its eight-season run from 2011-19, which was filmed mainly in Northern Ireland.

House of the Dragon is one of many Game of Thrones TV projects HBO has in the works, while a stage show for London’s West End is also in production.

HBO has announced the launch of The Iron Anniversary. This will be a month long celebration to remember the series premiere of Game of Thrones for its 10th year anniversary.

The celebration also includes an interactive Game of Thrones spotlight page on HBO Max. it will also include a Game of Thrones ‘Marathrone’ of all the episodes of Season 1. Not just that, Warner Bros. Consumer Products is releasing a new line of a range of Mikkeller beers which is inspired by the series.

This will also include a one-of-a-kind Imperial egg by Faberge and an assortment of iron-textured Funko Pop figures. The spotlight page of Game of Thrones on the WarnerMedia streaming service; will also feature an introduction to the world and characters for new viewers.
