Season 3 of Unsolved Mysteries will stream on Netflix in 2022. The first Unsolved Mysteries, hosted by the late Robert Stack, premiered in 1987 and showcased daily people’s bizarre and unbelievable encounters.
With the premiere of the Unsolved Mysteries reboot last year, Netflix revealed a new set of real-life mysteries. The first two volumes of Unsolved Mysteries, directed by Shawn Levy (Stranger Things), drew a lot of attention to the streaming service, offering unique options for viewers at home to solve the case.
It appears that more true crime stories are on the way.
Renewed For Third Season
According to Deadline, Unsolved Mysteries has been renewed for a third season, which will premiere on Netflix in summer 2022. Season 3 of Unsolved Mysteries is set to focus on stories including sad events, strange occurrences, and disappearances, with each episode dedicated to a unique case.
Executive producer Terry Dunn Meurer highlighted his excitement about bringing fresh mysteries to light in the upcoming season of new enthralling tales.
Meurer explained: “Cosgrove/Meurer Productions’ Unsolved Mysteries production team is excited to be working on volume 3 of our critically acclaimed Netflix series. We’re now working on additional exciting mysteries, and we hope to take the support of our viewers to solve the new cases next summer. Thank you to our Unsolved Mysteries fans for making the series so popular.”
True crime world
Seasons 1 and 2 of Unsolved Mysteries, of course, continue to make headlines in the true crime community. According to reports, the first twelve episodes gathered over 5,000 tips and led to new developments in cases.
A new autopsy on Alonzo Brooks and new information about fugitive Lester Eubanks’ escape are among them. Perhaps an iconic update from the previously featured Unsolved Mysteries cases will be shown in one of the next season 3 episodes.
