Saoirse Ronan Is “Gutted” To Not Star As Another Barbie Doll In Greta Gerwig’s Barbie

Saoirse Ronan won’t be reuniting with Greta Gerwig in the most awaited movie of the year ‘Barbie’. The live-action Barbie film has already got its first look and fans are totally hyped up about watching it.

Barbie movie stars Ryan Gosling as Ken & Margot Robbie as Barbie in the lead role. Saoirse Ronan has worked with Greta Gerwig, the director of the Barbie film, previously as well. They have worked together on films like Lady Bird & Little Women.

According to the LadyBird actress, she was supposed to do a cameo in Barbie. As she lives in London & the filming is taking place over there. In an interview with People, Saoirse told she won’t be appearing in the film because of her scheduling conflicts. Currently, she is filming her upcoming movie ‘The Outrun’ in Scotland.

The Little Women said that she was going to play the role of another Barbie doll. It was a whole character and not just a cameo. She says, ” I was gutted I couldn’t do it.” Further, she adds, ” I have texted Margot and Greta and I’m like, ‘If you’re doing any pick-up shots maybe I can just walk through the background.”

The other cast members of Barbie also include Simu Liu, America Ferrera, Will Ferrell, Kate McKinnon, Issa Rae & Michael Cera.

Internet Reacts To Ryan Gosling’s Barbie Look

Ryan Gosling’s Barbie look has got a lot of internet reactions which were crazy and fans were quite impressed with his looks. He reacted to the viral reactions online in an interview with People, he jokes saying ” Well the internet has been trying to break me for years. It gave me no other choice.”

Continuing his conversation he said that it was fun to make this movie and it felt good to see people having fun as well just like they are. He can’t wait for the film to release and for the reactions to continue.

In one of the Gray Man interviews, there was a mention of the Ken doll and Ryan Gosling proudly said, ” I have that Ken-energy that you can feel, obviously.”

Barbie is set to release on July 21, 2023.
