Ryan Reynolds of Red Notice suggests a Bollywood-style Deadpool

Whether it’s because of social media or because of Priyanka Chopra’s global success, Bollywood has gained a lot of international recognition and attention.

Several Hollywood celebs have been observed connecting with Bollywood’s who’s who on social media, and mutual respect between the two entertainment sectors has grown, as seen by Hollywood stars’ desire to visit B-town and appreciation for its cinematic value.

With streaming platform releases gaining a global audience and fan base, the lines between entertainment companies around the world are becoming increasingly blurred. Red Notice, starring Ryan Reynolds, Dwayne Johnson, and Gal Gadot, was one of the most recent huge releases on Netflix. The cast of the action-adventure was recently asked about their Bollywood knowledge at a global press conference, which Pinkvilla was a part of.

Ryan Reynolds discussed how his new film Free Guy took inspiration from Bollywood when it came to bringing joy to the screen. The actor talked about making a film that would be an antidote to the misery caused by COVID-19, claiming that he used aspects from Bollywood films that try to bring joy to the audience.

The actor went on to say that if he had to adapt one of his films for the Bollywood film industry, he would choose Deadpool over Free Guy. Ryan stated, “The MCU superhero Deadpool would fit perfectly into the Bollywood universe,” when asked how the MCU superhero would fit into the Bollywood universe “I believe Deadpool would find it much simpler to adopt Bollywood culture. The guy in Free Guy is an NPC, which means he’s not a playable character. He only exists in the digital world. Deadpool, on the other hand, is real flesh and blood. That would be Deadpool, I believe.”

Although Reynolds isn’t the only one who has a soft spot for Bollywood. Dwayne Johnson, his co-actor, expressed his love for India’s entertainment industry, saying he would be willing to star in a Bollywood film if the occasion arises.
