Fans of Nicki Minaj were hoping for a new album from the rapper in 2021. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case, despite the fact that she did release new music during the year. That included re-releasing her mixtape Beam Me Up Scotty with three new tracks, including Drake and Lil Wayne’s ‘Seeing Green’.
The singer also collaborated with Polo G, among other artists, on a remix of BIA’s viral smash song ‘Whole Lotta Money’. As per Nicki’s recent announcement, she is ready to release new music.
Minaj took to Twitter to announce the release date of her first song of the year, a duet with Lil Baby, which will be released on February 4th. She did not divulge the song’s title but she did release an image from what appears to be the video for the song. ‘Do We Have A Problem?’ she captioned the photo.
‘Baby x Barbie,’ she wrote, along with the words “PINK FRIDAY” and the date of the album’s release, as well as a slew of emojis. Nicki Minaj made the news after appearing on murals across the country for Rap Cavier’s “Rap Mount Rushmore” campaign. This also included Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, and Drake. The song comes after Lil Baby and Future joined Rvssian for their duet “M&M”.
Last month, as Minaj’s friends and fans around the world wished her a happy birthday, Lil Baby chimed in with his own message. “One of the future greats @lilbaby thx,” Minaj replied in response to the good wishes.
