Natasha Poonawalla Drapes a Heavily Embroidery Sabyasachi Saree

With the most awaited fashion event Met Gala saw the celebrities from all over the world who marked their presence with their best fashion looks. Many celebrates were seen not the only from the Hollywood industry but also from other industries in the world marked their presence in the most awaited star-studded red carpet. The global fashion event got the Indian ‘desi’, vibes with India’s businesswoman and philanthropist, Natasha Poonawalla.

Talking about the Indian celebrities Natasha Poonawalla was seen in a breath taking outfit, which grabbed a lot of attention. Wife of Serum Institute of India CEO, Aadar Poonawalla, marked her presence during last night biggest global fashion event. Natasha picked up a heavy embroidery and exquisite Sabyasachi saree for the fashion event.

Poonawalla was the first Indian celebrity to arrive at the event, with her breathtaking designer outfit. The Sabyasachi saree, truly created Indian vibes in the red carpet, and also went along with the theme of the event, which was ‘In America: An Anthology of Fashion’.

The businesswoman nailed by completing her look with a long net veil and by pairing her ethnic drape with a bustier made of metal by brand Schiaparelli.  She even went on experimenting with her look as she added precious jewels, beads and crystals from Sabyasachi’s fine jewelry collection. Which comprised of statement long earrings, headband, rings, and regal bangles on both the arms. She even kept her nails dramatic with beads and pearls attached to them. Celebrity stylist Anaita Shroff Adajania styled Natasha’s look, before Met Gala.

For the makeup look, she opted to give her eyes a dramatic look with the cat-eye eyeliner, soft kohl eyes, and pink nude lips. She kept her hair wavy further completing her dramatic look.

Designer Sabyasachi also said how he wanted to take the Indian outfit saree it a global level with the events like Met Gala. The designer captioned the photo saying, ““For me the sari is a truly unique and versatile garment that owns its identity even as it transcends boundaries and geographies. “I was a young fashion student, I often wondered when I would see the sari at big global fashion events like the Met Gala,” he added.

The designer further mentioned in this that, “Met Gala, themed ‘In America: An Anthology of Fashion’, Natasha Poonawalla’s vision was to interpret the dress code ‘gilded glamour’ with an Indian gaze that revels in its multi-culturalism and authenticity,”
