The professional boxer, who made history by becoming the world’s youngest heavyweight champion at the age of 20 in 1986, is widely regarded as one of the best heavyweight fighters of all time. Due to the Covid scenario, the directors released a scary teaser that showed Vijay in a never-before-seen avatar in the film.

‘Liger’ was supposed to be released in five languages on September 9 – Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam – but it was postponed due to the rising COVID-19 incidents at the time.

Karan Johar, who co-produced the film with Vijay, revealed the official poster of the film earlier this month, revealing Vijay’s first glimpse as a boxer. Puri Jagannadh is directing the film, which also stars Ramya Krishnan, Ronit Roy, and Vishu Reddy. It was co-produced by Charmme Kaur and Puri Connects, the director’s production company.
