MCU Fans Have Put Up A Billboard Asking Marvel To Bring Back Tony Stark

Avengers: Endgame had premiered two years ago where Tony Stark said his last goodbye to his Marvel fans. In true Iron Man fashion, the character had a heroic end as he sacrificed his life to save the world.

The character proclaimed his famous line, “I am Iron Man,” before he snapped his fingers and had Thanos and his army disintegrated into dust. Tony gave up his life after wielding the Infinity stones which killed him but he was able to save the universe from Thanos. The ending was satisfactory to a lot of fans who followed the actor behind Iron Man, Robert Downey Jr.

Robert played the role of Tony for 11 years throughout his cinematic journey. However, the ending did not satisfy all of them. A group of anonymous fans have come together and paid to put up a billboard in Los Angeles; that pleads Marvel Studios to bring back the iconic and their beloved character.

“A new billboard has been put up by fans in Los Angeles, and asks Marvel Studios to bring the Iron Man, Tony Stark, back to life,” @LightsCameraPod posted on Twitter. So far, Marvel has made it clear that there is no future for Tony Stark. The studio already has a handful of projects lined up which focuses on other characters.

Marvel is kicking off its Phase 4 with films like Black Widow; and Disney Plus series like WandaVision and Falcon and the Winter Soldier. And Robert himself has said that he is done playing Tony Stark and that he is grateful for the opportunity. The actor had shared that he had to dig deep and it was hard playing Tony/ Iron Man.

He shared, “I had an incredible 10-year run that was creatively satisfying. I’ve done all I could with that character and can do other things now. Now, being middle-aged, you start looking at the back nine and realize this is all part of the journey, and things end. I am fortunate and eternally grateful to have wound up where I have.”
